Happy Labor Day Weekend!!! Enjoy the time off and hope you do something fun!!

I have lots of good news. My surgery went well and was successful. Amazing how after suffering for so long that the surgery solved the problem. It will take another 3 months to heal completely but in the mean time I can start back on some of the things I enjoy doing. I can start back on my art…something I missed terribly. I am so glad this is all behind me.

You may recall I mentioned right be for surgery that I had entered a card in the Kentucky State Fair. Ribbons are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place as well as Honorable Mention. I entered my card because I decided it was time to start getting my art shown in Louisville, not to win or place. I honestly didn’t think I would. I went to pick up my card and I had an Honorable Mention ribbon. I was so excited and so thrilled. What a cool feeling.

Today’s card is part of a series of cards I made using the “Flappers” plate from Stampsmith. The paper is by Bo Bunny. The “Beautiful” embellishment is by Momenta and the flower is by Petaloo.

This card is one I designed for as one of my monthly design projects. The collage image is by Lisa’s Altered Art. The pattern paper is by the Paper Studio and the rhinestones are by Studio 18. The quote comes from a stamp that I can’t remember who makes it…I wrote the quote in calligraphy.
